    The comments I heard/read (I think from the Barcelona final) were that Monte Carlo was dry and played like "fast clay" while it was raining so Barcelona played slow.

    Also, what is up with Sharapova having last lost on red clay at Roland Garros 2011 to Li Na?  Is she the new "Rafa of the WTA"?
