Djokovic has embarrassed himself the past month, but it will not keep me from pulling for him when tennis returns. I am forever indebted to him for proving to be Nadal's kryptonite. Incredibly, we are about to reach the seven-year mark from the last time he lost to Nadal on any surface but clay. He has not lost a set to Nadal on hard courts since the 2013 U.S. Open final. 

Djokovic will pay for his idiotic cavalier behavior by becoming even more unpopular with the general public, which matters to him, but I don't expect it to hurt his results.
