THE RULES
1. Pick quarterfinalists, semifinalists, finalists, and champions for both ATP and WTA draws. You will receive 7.5 points for each correct quarterfinalist, 5 points for each correct semifinalist and finalist, and 20 points for each correct champion. The women's tournament is a crap shoot, no favorites there. For the men's tournament, Federer would be the favorite if we knew the status of his back. As such, he is going to be worth only 15 points as champion.
2. SUBSTITUTE PICK: Pick a player from each draw to replace one of your quarterfinalists. If this player makes the quarters, they will take the place of whomever you picked in that section of the draw
3. BIGGEST LOSER: pick the highest seed that will lose in the earliest round from each draw. The player must be a top-16 seed. You get 5 points if your seed is the highest to lose and 2 points if your seed falls in the same round as the highest seed to lose.
EXTRAS
***Unseeded quarterfinalists are worth an extra half point for every seed they take out en route.
***WTF bonus: if you have a pick that makes it to the quarterfinals that no one else made (not even as a substitute pick), you'll gain an extra 5 points for it. If there are only two contestants, then the WTF bonus is not in effect.

For the first time in a while I am down with your Kerber pick.
Not sure I really believe Halep would beat her if they both reach the semis.

funches, you jinxed her. Well, we will finally be able to stop saying "Halep/Wozniacki deserves a slam" for one of them.

I'm thrilled Halep won and she deserved to win, but it says something about Kerber that she was a no-show for 5 games, never played as aggressively as she had lately and still earned two match points even though Halep was serving and playing very well.
This is going to be a bounce-back year for Kerber. Maybe she'll finally do something at Roland Garros.

At long last, here are the final Aussie Open contest standings, less than 24 hours before the start of Roland Garros.
I believe for the first time ever I got a biggest loser right with Sock, but so did you. The old Tennis-X forum is still there, so if I have some free time, I may go back and check to find out if I'm right about never having won a BL before.
Basically, the difference in the contest was I had an extra quarterfinalist for the ATP and WTA, getting four of the men and five of the women. If Kerber had won one of the match points she had against Halep, it would have been very close, but I would have edged you.
I threw two points to you for predicting Stephens would be biggest loser since she lost in the first round, but Venus was the official biggest loser.
