Up and comers

Let's talk about up and coming players here.

To kick it off, I'll start with the Polish player who knocked off Murray at Bercy, Jerzy Janowicz.  He's 21 (will be 22 in a couple of weeks) and started the year ranked 221 in singles.  With at least a quarterfinal spot in Bercy (he's against Tipsy), he should make the top 50.  He's won 3 challengers this year, all on clay, which seems unusual since he's one of the giant (6'8") players.

Re: Up and comers

Well, now that he made the final of Bercy, that brings Janowicz to the top 30.  So, he should be seeded for the Australian Open next year.

I think he's going to have to cut back on all those dropshots, but we'll see what happens when people are familiar with his game.

I'd say Llodra has a better chance to beat him than Ferrer, though those dropshots are not going to be anywhere near as effective against the Spaniard.
