That is a very accurate assessment of Gauff. She does have more power than Kerber, but she it reticent to use it at times and her forehand breaks down when she feels pressure.

I believe I started playing the Tennis-x contest exactly like this one around 2004 or so, and I have never been as uncertain about what will happen in both draws as I am this time in the very final contest. I have no clue what will happen. If my finalists on the men's side lose in the first round, I will not be shocked.

Such is life. By the way, I notice the Tennis-X site is almost totally gone, with no stories, blogs or message board posts (the inner one disappeared a long time ago, but now the outer one is defunct, too.). It's been a really long, enjoyable run in the contests. 

Last year I went to Wimbledon for the first (and most likely only time) for two days in the first week. This time I will be watching on TV.

Congrats! Zverev came through for you and got a well deserved slam after clinching it for you.

I still can't believe Tiafoe lost a 4-1, 40-15 lead in the 4th set against Arnaldi. That was the difference. But focus has always been Tiafoe's Achilles heel.

Never mind.

With Pegula's win tonight, I clinched it. Don't remember getting all four semifinalists right even dating back to the Tennis-X days.
